Subject: Headline amusement
Security: Public
Just noticed on the BBC web site, 'most read' section.
  1. Sudan man forced to 'marry' goat
  2. 'Goat-free roads made me speed'
  3. Mandarins 'cut liver cancer risk'
  4. ...
I am rather amused by the conjunction of the top two items ...

Eveytime I see the liver cancer headline I think "civil servants" rather than "little oranges". Still can't see why the risk of cancer is reduced...

Oh, I'd have thought it obvious - because it's 'natural'.

It's like the recent pomegranate juice thing. I wonder how many older men are now drinking lots of PJ because of the supposed risk reduction of prostate cancer. I wonder how much pomegranate production has been increased.

The Tesco brand pomegranate juice is absolutely awful. But the "Pomegreat" juice is really quite nice - especially with white wine. Not that having prostate cancer has ever been a worry of mine, though ;)
