Mike Ashley has done a lot of collections over the years — he may be the UK's equivalent of Martin Greenberg. This, a slightly embarrassingly named volume, is actually not at all bad. It has a mixture of old, recent and just-written stories, and few if any are ones I've encountered before. Apart from that, it does what it says on the cover - it collects a variety of stories about magic makers, mostly malign ones.
Oh, the cover art on this printing doesn't match the picture here, but it's pretty similar.
Though it is unlikely that anyone likes all the stories in such a collection, this one scores pretty high.
