I've now seen snow in 9 out of 10 days. Being in Basel in February means that six of those days weren't unexpected. What I really wasn't expecting was to get back and, with one day free, now be getting more snow here than we did there.

Big fluffy clumps of the stuff. What happened to the idea of snow coming in December and January? This winter, it seems to have been November and February instead.

Whereas here I don't remember when I last saw no snow at all outside. I think it was briefly in December.

I'm so glad to not be going through another Boston winter or summer...

Boston is too extreme - big continent behind it for summer heat and winter cold. Enjoy the Gulf Stream while it lasts.

(Down in the fringes of Co. Kerry, they get surprised if they get a winter frost.)

/me points back to the year of her birth when it was all in January and February... I think over 40 years of it being in Jan/Feb is probably a trend *g*
