Some things are just too weird.

Coffee beer?!

I suppose it may stop drunkenness, if the drinker ends up with a strong caffeine buzz before the worst effects of the alcohol kick in.

Someone brought some caffeine beer to the last party at my place... that stuff was foul.

I've spent far too much time trying to balance caffeine and alcohol effects to a comfortable level not to be intrigued, but I bet they have the dosage all wrong for my build and weight and percentage body fat [ sufficiently low that I can't float, basically. ]

Coffee? Yay! BEER? For sure! Coffee beer? Forget it, sounds like the whole object is defeated and anyway it would be a lousy combination. I love chocolate, and I love fish and chips, but I wouldn't want Cadbury's on my battered haddock.
Whatever the case, it can't be quite as revolting as this chili flavoured "lambic" that used to be on sale in a real ale house opposite Halifax Town football ground a few years ago. There are some inspired brews coming out of Belgium, but I get the feeling that they produced this as a big joke on gullible Brits.
