Nature watch

This office is in a building on an industrial park, on the edge of a small town. I sit beside a window, the other side of which is a large metalled car-park. It's usually populated by cars, but the odd animal or bird will sometimes appear.

One of the odder sights though is proof that it's not just Clarkson and the rest of the Top Gear team who like such Italian cars such as the Alfa Romeo. No, something else does too: I've just seen a partridge pecking at the door sill of one.

(Its partner was a few spaces away, looking back with an expression of "Oh come on, Jeremy, stop hanging around." Now I know what Mrs Clarkson must feel like.)
