This review has already taken me longer to write than the book took to read: the entirety is 13 couplets, two short lines per letter, a total of 52 lines, a little more than 200 words. On a wordage rate, I paid more per word than many authors used to be paid by their editors.
But this isn't for reading, it's for looking at. The pictures are to be dwelt over. I'm not familiar with Grimly's other work, but here he carries off something reminiscent of Gerald Scarfe.
Short. Very short. But quite charming.
