At least, saved from the fate of having a film made about it by Uwe Boll: L'Inq here

When he heard about the Warcraft movie, Boll told MTV that "I got in touch with Paul Sams of Blizzard and he said 'We will not sell the movie rights, not to you... especially not to you," which rather indicates that Mr Sams had wind of Boll's reputation ahead of time.

It seems that Boll's reputation is coming home to roost. It would appear that Boll is a bit like the protagonists of The Producers - entirely capable of making a profit without actually needing an audience for his films, due to his expertise at finding financing. Since actually spending money on quality wouldn't bring any more money in, well ...

Interesting parallels to exploitation films from the '50s and '60s though.

Not being a WoWer my first thought on reading that title was, "Azathoth? I didn't know Uwe Boll was, or had been prevented from, doing a Lovecraft film."
