The Island of Sark (in the Channel Islands) still has the death penalty.

However, even if one of the 580 inhabitants was to commit a crime so heinous that he were to be considered for this, he would still be safe from hanging, since the court in Sark has no power to levy any penalty more than a £5,000 fine - any more serious penalty would be referred to the court in Guernsey, and Guernsey does not have the death penalty.

And in less than a fortnight, the death penalty is likely to be abolished anyway.

The Island of Sark

Been there. My sister and I thought "where can we go for a week where you don't need a car?". It's small enough to walk from one end to the other in less than a day, and there's no cars allowed, only tractors and horses. We had a good time anyway.
