Oh dear.

Dearie me.

Why, dear supplier-of-shiny-stuff, do you give me an option for a shipping address in addition to the entry for the billing address?

In my naivety, I assumed it was for me to specify a different address, one at which I knew delivery would be achievable. Since UPS have just attempted delivery to the billing address, it's obviously not that.

Are they one of the suppliers who will take a delivery address but if they don't like the look of it, like it differs from the billing address, they silently redirect it to the billing address?
Scan do that, one of the main reasons why I don't use them any more.
People who won't deliver to my office had better be selling something very, very special for me to bother with the hassle of getting the parcel from the depot later.

Oddly, I never had a problem with Scan.

As far as this supplier is concerned, I'm awaiting a reply. I've no particular desire to have to trog all the way over to Luton to pick up a package (is there no UPS depot in Cambridge? Stevenage?).

At least UPS was perfectly willing, once I quoted the code number from the card they dropped through the door, to update the delivery address.

The UPS depot for Cambridge is outside Bury St Edmunds, making collecting from the depot (which I had to do once) a round trip of over an hour.

Lucky bastard.

Luton is down the A505. Which is a great little road between here and the A1, but which is thereafter infested with 30 limits (and more speed cameras that I've seen anywhere else) for much of the rest of the distance. The AA route finder alleges 40 minutes from here to Luton Airport - I'd allow an hour each way.

I reckon Bury's closer to here in time terms.
