Well, we'd let the breeder know before they were born that we were interested in a tom and a queen, preferably different colours.
With two toms the same colour as each other (usual: see Rameses or Potchka, or indeed Talia), that means one of the two. And the queens are one blue, one fawn. The breeder is not letting the blue go - she was originally intending to keep her for breeding - which leaves us the fawn queen.
When we originally went and chose Kosh and Talia, this decade and a half back, there were three litters of kittens in one large squirming heap in front of an Aga. Oh, the cute!
