Some months back, they changed my credit card number.

I have a 6 month cycle on my WoW subscription.

That 6 months just expired, freezing my account.

Surely it's trivial to add the new card? I often manage to stop my account subscription if I know I won't be playing even for a short while.

Oh, it was trivial in this case. But both this and my ISP account froze first, and asked second.

Yes. Sensible organisations write toemail you and say "we notice you've got a card registered with us that expires in a month, would you like to do something about that?"

No....

and in other news we had a look in the Ruby Sanctum, died on trash twice (needs more practice yanking the ugly one further away) and took out the first miniboss! (7 manning it)

Yes ...

Quite why they felt the urge to change it, I don't know. Demon at least called me up and pointed out that they'd not had any money out of me for 3 months. Blizzard just bounced my login attempt until I'd gone off and added the new card number.
