Wins an F1 podium place.
8 days later, is let go by his team.

Yes, Force India release Giancarlo Fisichella. But it's not as though they were unhappy with him.

Well, whaddaya expect from Ferrari International Assistance immediately before the Monza GP? I found it quite amusing to see Fisi driving so well in the Force India while Badoer was every bit as useless as he was ten years ago despite being in a far superior car this time round.

Fishy was one of Marna's favorites when he was driving for Jordan.

But Force India are such an invisible team.

(The day before the Spa GP, we were driving back from lunch, on the road that passes the Silverstone track. While trying to avoid being distracted by the planes doing their nuts over the circuit (it was the World Aerobatic Championships) I happened to see the sign pointing off to the Force India works. Not exactly obvious.)

Thing is, he's notoriously inconsistent. Some feel he did so well at Spa partly because the surprise of having a car suddenly really sweet woke him up. He may be up front or nowhere in a Ferrari, there's no way to tell, and the next race will probably be different again...
