You know how email is supposed to be quicker than snail mail.

On getting in to work this morning, I was checking my email, and saw the email from Amazon telling me they've dispatched a book.

I'd already opened the package, which is down by my feet.

Three cheers to Royal Mail. (Waves at the sorting office 30 metres away.)

Amazon frequently don't seem to sent those mails out until the package has actually arrived IME, I think they've taken lessons from Apple's order tracking system.
